One Word

One
word
doesn’t
do
you too
much justice,
especially
when
you walk
like a Goddess,
and
swing
like a
syncopated
quarter note
in 4/4
time.

I’m just
glancing,
and pretending
to
care less,
but
my eyes
lounge
too
much
in
the path
you’ve
made.

Your
hips
collide
with Venus
in such
way
to cause
flutter
to the
Gods,
like
water and
fresh air
do
for nature’s
glory.

Words
do you
no
justice
sweet
Georgia
Queen,
and if
I recall,
you
just may
do
them
the better
duty
anyway.
