On Listening

Listen
to
these words
carefully,
and
without
moving those nerve
endings
that
dash
back and forth
in
such a willy-nilly
nature.
Listen
to these tones,
as
they dance
and stammer themselves
into
the upper
registers, like
some Divas
do
after
the curtain
has
dropped.
And
finally,
listen to this
heart,
and he’s
the only thing
grabbing
at
your ankles
when
your best
days
have
slipped
away
from you.

Listen.
Listen.
Listen

  1. Beautiful, I love how fluid it is. You can’t help but be immersed into.

  2. Every day with you is the
    Best day
    I will never stop listening
    Not ever
    I promise!
