Preposition

Pic

Let’s
dangle
around like
prepositions
do,
after
long-winded
sentences
and
paragraphs
decide to marry

up

and leave the
farm
for
better pastures
elsewhere.

Let’s
find the space
to
let
mindful
wind
dance
between our
delicate
hair
follicles;
loosely,
and
like the time
you
and
I
forgot
the rules
for just
one
day.

Let us place
ourselves
at
the end
of a
poem,
and watch
jazz notes,
semicolons,
and
fireflies
become
the
thing
that
we
are
here to do.
