Be Good

Be
good,
like
you
were taught
to
be;
with
wise hands,
and
careful
eyes
caressing
your
back side.

Let
your
mind
free
itself
from
the
locked
doors
and crevices,
like
you
once did
when
you
started
falling down
on
loose
gravel.

Be good,
and
don’t
forget
to tie
both
shoes
with
extra knots,
like
one
does when
a
race
needs to
be
won
without
hesitation.

And
yes,
be good
like
you
have no
choice;
since
you really
don’t.
