Together

One day
we’ll be
together,
and stretch across
our
bed in
layers,
and drive
that
wind
from the
room
like
she never
existed.

We’ll
dance
naked, and
find
wisdom
in
the essence
of
a locked
door,
a closed curtain,
and
a warm
sheet.

Togetherness
just
may
not hold
us
the way
we
want,
so let’s
just
become
like
poets,
and let
go
of this
world one
syllable
at
a time.
