Now That We’ve Arrived

Now
that we’ve
arrived,
let’s
make way
for love,
and
give credence
to
the moments
we’ve missed,
and
the lives
we’ve touched.

Let’s
pretend
day is
night,
and gaze
into
those
stars lining
the
outer layers;
like
we’ve
allowed
time
to
stand
still,
letting
her hair
down
to
sashay down
wide
open
streets.

Now
that we’ve
arrived,
let’s
play in
the
dirt and
let
those grown
folks
worry
about
days,
weeks,
and those
years
to
get things
done.
