You Ain’t Hearin’ Me

When
you called
and told
me
life ain’t
so
grand
without
my
space
included,
I
questioned
those
words
because my
essence
is indeed
your
essence;
and simply
put,
there can
be
no here
without
its
love of
there.
There
can’t be
no light
without the
tightness
and
leveling
of the darkness.
See, I’m
only
messin’ with
ya
because
the stars
seem
to
take
to you
like
white
on rice,
and I’m
stuck
in
between
most
of
that.
